As the whole world learned of Swayze losing his life to cancer this morning I began thinking of the impact this man really had in the entertainment industry. As far as I could tell he was a very talented dancer, a decent actor, and put out one of the most beautiful songs that has been a favorite of mine since I was a child. He rocked some good roles in movies worth mentioning like ‘Red Dawn’, ‘To Wong Foo’, and ‘The Outsiders’, to the more mainstream – corny yet appealing – roles in ‘Ghost’ and of course ‘Dirty Dancing’.
